Nine Kuwaiti citizens acquitted in slanderous clip case

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: The Cybercrime Circuit at the Court of First Instance acquitted nine Kuwaiti citizens who were accused of posting a video clip considered to be offensive towards a notable personality on Instagram.
The Public Prosecution had charged the suspects of posting the offensive video clips that affected the dignity of the concerned personality.
The defense counsel Lawyer Ali Al-Ali insisted that the video clip in question did not contain any offensive statement, stressing that the clip was only a part of the full video wherein the petitioner hid his face.
