KUWAIT CITY, April 9: Based on instructions from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas regarding the need for an organized deployment to pursue violators and wanted persons, the public security sector continued to set up night checkpoints and assign officers to walk and monitor quiet areas, reports Aljarida daily.

According to the quarterly statistics issued by the public security sector for the period from January 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022, 617 drug-related cases and 42 cases related to possession of intoxicants and liquor were referred to the Drug Control General Department. A total of 1,219 individuals were arrested including 836 violators of the residency law and 383 absconders. Also, 7,406 casualties were dealt with.
