RIYADH, July 14: The Saudi Sports newspaper revealed the anticipated return date for Brazilian star Neymar Jr. to team training, as the "samba dancer" enters the final stage of his rehabilitation program.

The report stated: “International Brazilian star Neymar Junior, the lead striker for the Al Hilal football team, informed the team’s medical and fitness staff of his potential readiness to start training in early August.” It continued: “Neymar has reached the final stages of his rehabilitation program after undergoing reconstructive surgery on his cruciate ligament last November.”

Neymar’s return to training next month increases the likelihood of his inclusion in the team’s roster during the summer registration period, potentially at the expense of his compatriot Michel Delgado, the right winger, who has six months remaining on his contract with the club. If this occurs, Al Hilal Club management will consider offers for Michel, aiming to benefit financially from selling his remaining contract term. Neymar suffered a tear in his cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee while playing for his national team against Uruguay in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup last October.
