DGCA: New rules for all passengers arriving to Kuwait

14 days institutional quarantine for passengers arriving from high-risk countries

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation stated that based on instructions of health authorities to avoid spread of COVID 19 especially after the emergence of mutated strain of coronavirus new procedures will be implemented at Kuwait International Airport from Sunday 21st February.

Passengers arriving from high risk countries will be required to be quarantined for a period of 14 days in any locally approved hotels on their own cost by registering on Kuwait Mosafer app or website (http://www.kuwaitmosafer.gov.kw), where as passengers from other countries will be required to quarantine for a period of 7 days at locally approved hotels on their own cost by registering in Kuwait Mosafer app or website, and remaining 7 days of quarantine have to be completed at home.

Kuwaiti patients seeking treatment abroad, Kuwaiti students studying abroad, minors under 18 and unaccompanied travelers, diplomatic corporation members and medical staff are excluded from institutional quarantine but are subjected to 14 days home quarantine.

Passengers flying to Kuwait are requested to register in Kuwait Mosafer app or website http://www.kuwaitmosafer.gov.kw
