KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: The Ministry of Interior has warned of strict penalties for individuals found wearing, using, or displaying items that promote or encourage narcotics-related activities, including through images, symbols, writings or logos.
According to an official notice issued under the “Safeguarding Our Homeland” campaign, violators may face fines of up to KD 500. The warning applies to goods, printed materials, clothing, accessories, and any other items bearing content that incites or glorifies drug use or narcotic crimes.
Also, the law stipulates that individuals found in the company of narcotics or psychotropic substance users may be penalized with imprisonment for up to three years, a fine of KD 5,000, or both, regardless of personal use.
Authorities stressed that the measure is part of ongoing efforts to combat drugs, protect public morals, and reinforce national security. The ministry called on the public to comply with regulations and report any violations through official channels.
