New officials cleared to sign Kuwaiti passports

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 20: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al- Sabah has issued three ministerial decrees authorizing officials at the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents to sign Kuwaiti passports and nationality certificates issued by the department, reports Al- Seyassah daily. Ministerial Decree No. 1415/2026 authorizes Brigadier General Abdulrahman Najib Al-Othman, Director General of the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents, and Brigadier General (Legal) Mohammed Mazeed Al-Mazeed, Assistant Director General of the department, to sign passports issued by the department, in accordance with Article 17 of Law No. 11/1962 and the signature specimen attached to the decree. Ministerial Decree No. 1416/2026 authorizes Brigadier General (Legal) Mohammed Mazeed Al-Mazeed, Assistant Director General of the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents, to sign Kuwaiti nationality certificates issued by the department, in accordance with the signature specimen attached to the decree.

Ministerial Decree No. 1417/2026 authorizes Lieutenant Colonel (Legal) Ibrahim Hamad Abdullah Al-Busaili, Assistant Director of the Nationality Department, to sign Kuwaiti nationality certificates issued by the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents, in accordance with the signature specimen attached to the decree. The decrees shall take effect from the date of their issuance and publication in the official gazette.
