TEHRAN, July 12: Several explosions were heard near the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas and in a coastal area of Qeshm on Sunday, according to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)-affiliated Fars News Agency.
The report said the blasts were heard east of Bandar Abbas as well as in a coastal area of Qeshm Island, but did not provide details on the cause of the explosions.
Authorities had not immediately commented on the incidents, and there were no initial reports of casualties or damage.
The cause of the explosions remains under investigation.
