New Burial Hours Across Kuwait: What You Need to Know

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 20: Kuwait Municipality has announced a schedule for funeral burials across the country’s cemeteries, effective Sunday, September 20, reports Al- Seyassah daily. The measure aims to streamline procedures and ease the process for the deceased’s relatives and mourners during funeral processions, prayers, and burials. According to a municipal circular, morning burials are scheduled for 9:00 am, while evening burials will take place after the Asr prayer. Burials may also take place after the Isha prayer at the request of the deceased’s family, provided they coordinate in advance with the Funeral Affairs Department to obtain approval and complete the necessary procedures in accordance with established regulations. Mishal Al-Azmi, Deputy Director General for Municipal Services, instructed cemetery officials to organize operations according to the designated schedule and provide the necessary resources to ensure smooth burial procedures and proper services for the families of the deceased and mourners.
