KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: The employees of the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) may see a delay in the payment of their salaries for October because of a malfunctioning network, reports Al-Qabas daily. A letter sent by the Assistant Undersecretary for Legal, Administrative and Financial Affairs in the Ministry of Public Works to the Undersecretary of the Ministry, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, shows there is a malfunction in the Ministry’s internet network, which has resulted in a malfunction in the Civil Service Commission and the “Oracle” systems of the Ministry of Finance, which in turn led to the accumulation of work and the inability to disburse the dues of the Ministry’s employees. The official pointed out in the letter there may be a delay in the payment of salaries due to the reason mentioned above.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works handled 2,944 reports about road and network productivity in September; indicating the total number of complaints addressed last month reached 2,761 and the number of working hours allotted for these complaints totaled 183, reports Al-Qabas daily.
