Nepali bootleggers held; Kuwaiti caught with drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26 The Ahmadi police have arrested two Nepalese for bootlegging, reports Al- Anba daily. The daily added, the men were riding in a car in Mangaf and looked nervous when a police patrol passed by. Police ordered the man behind the wheel to pull over and while checking the documents, the officer got the smell of alcohol. Police then searched the car and found plastic bottled of booze filled with locally-manufactured booze. It looked as if the bottles had not been opened before because the seal was intact.

Kuwaiti caught with drugs: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in possession of drugs, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, securitymen were on routine patrol duty when they suspected a motorist and asked him to pull over. However, the motorist refused to do so and sped off, prompting securitymen to chase him. They eventually forced him to stop and checked his details to discover he is a Kuwaiti citizen. They checked his vehicle and found drugs. The suspect was arrested and referred with the drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

‘Forced to steal money’: An Arab woman accused a female student of forcing her daughter to steal money, says Al-Seyassah. In a complaint with officers at Jleeb Shuyoukh Police Station, the woman said she caught the daughter stealing money from her wallet and she confessed that one student from her school was threatening and forcing her to steal. The woman said a total of KD 490 was missing from her wallet. She noted the student who’s older than her daughter used to punish the child whenever she failed to steal for her. A case was registered.
