KUWAIT CITY, July 2: The Meteorological Department has forecast that the country’s weather during the weekend will generally be hot to extremely hot during the day and warm at night. The acting Director of the department, Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country is affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a hot air mass and northwesterly to variable winds that are light to moderate in speed, becoming active at times and causing dust to rise in open areas. He explained that the daytime weather on Friday will be extremely hot and relatively humid in coastal areas, with northwesterly to variable winds light to moderate, occasionally active between 10 and 40 km/h.
Maximum temperatures are expected between 46°C and 48°C, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves between two and five feet. The weather on Friday night will be warm and relatively humid in coastal areas, with northwesterly to variable winds light to moderate at speeds of 8 to 28 km/h. Minimum temperatures are expected between 29°C and 31°C, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves between one and three feet. The daytime weather on Saturday will remain extremely hot and relatively humid in coastal areas, with northwesterly to variable winds light to moderate at speeds of 8 to 28 km/h. Maximum temperatures are expected between 45°C and 47°C, and the sea will be light to moderate with waves between one and three feet. Saturday night will be warm and relatively humid in coastal areas, with northwesterly to variable winds light to moderate at speeds of 8 to 30 km/h.
