KUWAIT CITY, July 16: The Meteorological Department forecast that Kuwait will experience extremely hot weather during the day and hot to warm conditions at night during the weekend, with relatively high humidity, particularly in coastal areas. The country will also be affected by active winds that may cause dust. Acting Director of the department Dhirar Al-Ali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Kuwait is currently under the influence of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by an extremely hot air mass and moderate northwesterly winds, which are expected to become active at times.

The winds will shift to southeasterly directions on Friday and Saturday, resulting in increased relative humidity, especially in coastal areas. The daytime weather on Friday will be extremely hot and humid, particularly in coastal areas, with variable to southeasterly winds ranging from light to moderate at speeds of 8 to 30 km/h. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach between 46 and 48 degrees Celsius, while sea conditions will remain light to moderate, with waves ranging from one to four feet. Friday night’s weather will be hot to warm and humid, especially in coastal areas. Winds will be southeasterly to variable, light to moderate, with speeds of 6 to 26 km/h.

Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, while the sea will remain light to moderate, with waves between one and three feet. Saturday’s daytime weather will be extremely hot, with relatively high humidity in coastal areas. Winds will be variable to northwesterly, light to moderate, ranging from 8 to 32 km/h. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 47 and 49 degrees Celsius, while sea conditions will remain light to moderate, with waves between one and four feet. Saturday night’s weather will be hot to warm, with relatively high humidity, especially in coastal areas. Winds will be northwesterly to variable, light to moderate, with speeds ranging from 8 to 30 km/h. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius, while the sea will remain light to moderate, with waves between one and three feet.(KUNA)
