NCCAL vows tough action against stand-up comedy shows breaching licensing and morality rules
Stand-up comedy shows face strict action for violating licensing and public morals: NCCAL.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: The National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) announced on Tuesday that it will enforce strict measures against stand-up comedy shows that violate licensing regulations and public morals.

Musaed Al-Zamel, Assistant Secretary General for Arts at NCCAL, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the council will not tolerate any breaches of show licensing rules or laws aimed at preserving public decency. “The NCCAL will not be lenient in implementing the regulations, and penalties stipulated in the regulations will be applied to any party violating instructions or presenting content that contradicts public values and morals,” he said.

Al-Zamel emphasized that these measures are intended to guarantee the delivery of high-quality artistic performances that align with public taste and uphold the reputation of responsible Kuwaiti art.
