KUWAIT CITY, Aug 5: On August 2nd, the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature (NCCAL) in Kuwait declared its ongoing commitment to preserving the country’s cultural identity and upholding the significance of its national heritage without compromising any national principles. In response to concerns raised about the book titled “Time of Anger,” which was included in the World of Knowledge series, the council acted under the directives of Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, the Minister of Information and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. As a result, a fact-finding committee was established, consisting of representatives from the Fatwa and Legislation sector, the Writers Association, and the legal affairs sector in the Ministry of Information. The NCCAL emphasized its dedication to maintaining amicable relations with brotherly and friendly nations, making sure not to cause any offense in any manner (KUNA)
