NCCAL chief signs document – Project aims to protect Kuwait’s cultural heritage, says Al-Youha

KUWAIT CITY, April 25: National Council of Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Secretary General Eng Ali Al-Youha signed the document of the project, “Drafting a Framework for Cultural Development”, in partnership with the Secretariat General of the Supreme Council for Development, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Al-Youha disclosed the project aims to protect Kuwait’s cultural heritage, fulfill the vision of the country to have long-term investment in human resources, and develop social and cultural capitals in light of the national development plan for 2015-2020.

Meanwhile, representative of UNESCO in the Gulf and Yemen and UNESCO Regional Office Director Anna Bawlini expressed her happiness over the signing the document, stressing it will support efforts of Kuwait to maintain its cultural heritage and the relevant strategies of its government.
