KUWAIT CITY, Oct 26: As part of its early preparations for the NBK Run 2026, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) organized a special sports event at Al Shaheed Park (Phase 3) in collaboration with expert fitness trainers. This initiative provided participants with a comprehensive pre-race experience while raising awareness about the importance of physical activity in improving health and promoting healthy lifestyles.

The event sought to create an interactive environment that encourages individuals and families to engage in sports and incorporate running into their daily routines. Participants benefited from expert guidance and practical training sessions designed to help them prepare for the race and enhance their fitness levels.

This event reflects NBK’s commitment to leveraging its community initiatives to support health and well-being by raising awareness about the importance of physical activity and promoting healthy daily habits, further helping to prevent various health issues associated with a sedentary lifestyle.

Participants had the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of specialized fitness and running coaches, who provided practical guidance for beginners and professional advice on race preparation and enhancing physical performance. Moreover, the event featured a range of interactive activities tailored to various age groups and fitness levels, fostering a spirit of participation and underscoring the Bank’s commitment to providing an inclusive and enjoyable sporting experience for all.

To further enrich their experience, NBK gave all participants gifts so they could continue adopting positive and healthy habits, in an atmosphere that combines sports, community interaction, and a focus on public health.

The event also featured a special sports challenge, offering participants the chance to win cash prizes from NBK and prizes from Intersport and Spark Athletic Center. Winners were selected during the event, adding an extra layer of excitement and engagement for those in attendance, all as part of an effort to boost participation and encourage individuals to adopt a more active lifestyle.

The event also saw the participation of Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa (AAW), who provided special "Intersport" print T-shirts to all participants and attendees, in addition to distributing healthy drinks from "Joe & The Juice", while United Beverages Company supplied drinks to all participants throughout the event, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for those in attendance.

On this occasion, Mohammed Al-Sarraf, Principal - Public Relations and Events Management at the National Bank of Kuwait, commented: "The NBK Run stands as the premier and largest sporting event of its kind in Kuwait, serving as a platform that annually brings together thousands of participants around the values of health, activity, and a balanced lifestyle. Driven by our commitment to delivering the best possible experience, we organized this event today to enable early preparation for the race. It offers participants the opportunity to benefit from the guidance of specialized fitness and running coaches in an interactive, motivating atmosphere, which helps to improve their fitness levels and encourage more individuals to take on the challenge and participate in the upcoming race with confidence and enthusiasm.

Al-Sarraf added: "This event contributes to creating a sports experience that transcends the physical aspect by offering participants the opportunity to connect, exchange expertise, and learn from one another, further boosting motivation to achieve personal athletic goals. Furthermore, these gatherings foster an atmosphere of positive interaction and mutual encouragement, adding value to the participants' experience and making it more impactful and sustainable.

Al-Sarraf emphasized that NBK will continue to invest in community initiatives that deliver a positive, sustainable impact, particularly those related to health and well-being. He noted that sports are a fundamental pillar in building a healthier, more vibrant society, pushing the Bank to continue supporting programs and events that encourage physical activity across all age groups, thereby enhancing quality of life and fostering social cohesion and engagement.
