NBK launches new batches of High Fliers Program – Program organized in collaboration with AUB

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: National Bank of Kuwait has launched two new batches of the NBK High Fliers Program in collaboration with the American University of Beirut (AUB). The program aims at developing the potential and leadership skills of NBK’s young future leaders.

The inauguration of the program was attended by NBK CEO-Kuwait, Salah Al-Fulaij and NBK General Manager, Human Resources Group, Emad Al-Ablani along with a host of NBK senior officials, and a representative from the AUB-Olayan School of Business Dr Yusuf Sidani.

Commenting on the occasion, Al Ablani said “The next generation of leaders is the future of NBK. We are committed to identifying and developing our talented people so that in time they can guide the bank to even greater success.” “This program marks the start of what will be a continuing process to develop and grow young talents. We look forward to seeing the participants moving into key leadership roles in the bank.”

The prime deliverable of the program is for young participants to challenge conventional methods and thinking ensuring a transition from a purely technical frame of mind; to a techno- managerial frame, and eventually a strategy- focused leadership frame.

The program features specific themes namely: strategic thinking and implementation, leadership skills, building high performance teams, financial statement analysis and financial management, effective communication, change and innovation management, developing and managing people and organizational behavior, customer centricity, leading for results, negotiating results and marketing essentials.

NBK organizes executive training programs in collaboration with the most prestigious universities in the world as Harvard, Chicago  and AUB as part of NBK’s continuous drive to enhance the skills of the Bank’s young leadership members.
