KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has referred former supervisors and other personnel at the Ministry of Communications to the Public Prosecution on suspicion of misappropriating public funds, the authority announced Sunday.
In a statement posted on its official Twitter account, Nazaha reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to thoroughly examine, collect evidence, and investigate all credible information related to corruption cases submitted through any channel.
The authority praised the critical role of whistleblowers in enabling access to essential information and data regarding corruption incidents. It also emphasized its pledge to uphold the highest standards of protection and confidentiality for whistleblowers, as mandated by law and its executive regulations.
Nazaha’s latest move signals a continued crackdown on corruption within public institutions as part of Kuwait’s broader efforts to promote transparency and accountability.
