KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced Sunday that it has referred individuals covered under the financial disclosure law to the Public Prosecution on suspicion of submitting incorrect asset declarations.
In a press statement, Nazaha emphasized that the alleged violations pertain to the suspected crime of submitting false or misleading financial disclosures—an act that undermines the principles of transparency and accountability.
The authority called on all individuals subject to financial disclosure provisions to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of their submissions. Nazaha stressed that filing truthful and complete disclosures is not only a legal requirement but also a moral obligation that upholds public trust, safeguards public funds, and reinforces the values of integrity within state institutions.
Nazaha reiterated its commitment to enforcing financial disclosure laws and protecting public interest by taking firm legal action against any violations of anti-corruption regulations.
