KUWAIT CITY, May 18: According to a recent statistic, the Public Prosecution is considering 11 corruption-related reports referred by the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha). About seven judicial rulings have been issued in corruption cases that were also referred by the authority, including two convictions from the Court of First Instance, a conviction from the Court of Appeals, and four convictions from the Court of Cassation, reports Al-Rai daily.
The statistic revealed that the total of the listed files and communications that are still under study in Nazaha is 56, including files on wastage of public funds, illegal appropriation of public funds, and facilitation of the illegal appropriation of public funds, as well as profiteering, bribery, illegitimate gain, conflict of interests, abuse of influence, serious financial irregularities, and falsification of official documents.
