The Ministries Super Cup champion National Guard soccer team celebrates after the end of the final.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5: The Ministries Super Cup now belongs to the National Guard soccer team, emerging victorious in a thrilling match against the Public Authority for Industry. The National Guard secured the title after prevailing 6-5 in a penalty shootout, following a 2-2 draw in regular time. The exciting encounter took place at the Friendship and Peace Stadium in Kazma Club.

Bashar Abdullah, Deputy Director General of the General Sports Authority for the competitive sports sector, and Hamid Al-Haziman, Deputy Director General of the Authority for the Sports for All Sector and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Ministries League, were present at the match. Officials from both the National Guard and the Public Authority for Industry also attended.

The National Guard, entering as the reigning champions of the league and cup, showcased their prowess, while the Public Authority for Industry, following league regulations, participated as the runner-up.

Hamid Al-Hazeem extended congratulations to the National Guard officials, the technical and administrative staff, and the players for clinching the Super Cup title. He emphasized the Authority's commitment to leveraging all available resources for the success of the current season, promoting sports engagement for all government sector employees.

Expressing satisfaction with the match's intensity and competition, Al-Hazeem highlighted that the Super Cup results foreshadowed fierce competitions in the upcoming league, set to commence in a few days. The draw for the new season positioned the National Guard, as the defending champions, at the forefront of the first group, while Al-Sinaa, the runner-up in the previous version, secured a place in the second group.
