KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: The National Guard team secured a spot in the semi-finals of the football league for ministries, agencies, and government institutions, completing the preliminary rounds with 10 points. This qualification came before the conclusion of the final round, following a 2-1 victory over the Ministry of Information.
The last set of matches in the preliminary rounds holds crucial importance for three teams. Al-Kahraba, currently in third place with 7 points, is set to face the leading Guard. The final showdown will feature Al-Diffa, the runner-up with 8 points, against Al-Sahaha, holding the fourth spot with 6 points, and still nurturing hopes of advancing. The quarter-finals will witness clashes between the second and third teams from the two groups.
In the second group, the Ministry of Endowments has already secured qualification with an impressive 12 points. The Public Authority for Industry, currently in second place with 9 points, awaits its upcoming match against the Ministry of Education, placed third with 7 points. The Customs team, holding fourth place with 4 points, aims to stay in contention for qualification as it faces the Interior Ministry, currently without any points on the board.
