National Guard ‘defend’ crown

KUWAIT CITY, April 1: The basketball team of the National Guard won the Ministries and Government Institutions Basketball Cup of this season after defeating the Ministry of Defense team with a score of 93-78 in the final match which was held at the basketball court of the Kuwait Sporting Club. This is the second consecutive time the National Guard team are winning it, and they deserved the win this time as they dominated the match against the Ministry of Defense team from the start to finish. The team of Ministry of Interior took third place. The ideal team award went to the team of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD).

The best player award was given to Eid Al-Shammari from KFSD. The top scorer award was given to Muhammad Majed from Ministry of Interior. The three pointers award was given to Shueib Muhanna from Ministry of Defense. The best coach award went to Duaij Al-Muraished. At the end of the match, Head of technical committee for Ministries and Government Institutions Basketball Tournament Emad Behbehani, and a member of the supreme committee for the tournament and Head of Sports Fields at the Public Authority for Sports Ahmad Al-Sayegh honored the winning teams and distributed the prizes.
