National Guard clinches Futsal Super Cup title

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: Kuwait’s National Guard team lifted the Futsal Super Cup after edging the Ministry of Interior side in a closely fought final at Yarmouk Club’s indoor hall.

The match ended 1-1 in regulation time before the National Guard prevailed 3-2 on penalties to secure the title in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

The final was attended by Bashar Abdullah Al-Salem, acting director-general of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports.

The authority reaffirmed its commitment to supporting sporting events that bring together employees of government institutions, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition.
