KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: On October 25th, the esteemed Sheikh Jaber Al-Ali Musical Hall is set to host a night of unparalleled artistry, featuring the luminous Palestinian talent, Nai Barghouti. Known for her unique approach to seamlessly blending Arab and Western musical elements, Nai Barghouti promises an unforgettable musical experience.

Renowned for her exceptional vocal range, Nai Barghouti will transport the audience on a musical voyage like no other. Her repertoire spans from the Egyptian school of (tarab) to contemporary Arab music of the Levant, from the enchanting world of jazz to the rhythms of Gulf music, before anchoring itself in the rich tapestry of traditional melodies. Nai Barghouti, a versatile artist, harnesses her vocal prowess and flute mastery to deliver contemporary compositions, occasionally contributing her own lyrics. Furthermore, she reinterprets classic Arab songs with a style that is uniquely and distinctly her own.

Nai Barghouti is a Palestinian artist who excels as a singer, composer, and flutist. She initiated her professional singing career at the tender age of 14 and later completed her studies in classical flute performance at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Palestine, discovering her passion for composition along the way.

Four of her early flute solo compositions have even become part of the flute curriculum at the International Institute of Iberian Music in Valencia, Spain. In 2013, Nai Barghouti graced the United Nations headquarters in New York, enthralling the audience with her singing and flute performances during the commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. In 2017, she embarked on her inaugural independent tour, taking her talent to five cities in the United Kingdom, where she presented a blend of original material and classic Arabic repertoire, infusing it with an “Arabic-Jazz” sound.

Most recently, Nai Barghouti took on the leading role of Layla in Orfeo and Majnun, a production hailed by Le Monde as a new face of opera in the 21st century. Her journey also led her to study for two years at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. Presently, she is pursuing studies in jazz performance at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she delves into the fascinating relationship between classical Arabic singing (tarab) and jazz.

A prominent figure in the music scene since her debut in 2011, Nai Barghouti has graced some of the most distinguished Arab and international stages with her remarkable performances. In 2022, she unveiled her highly-anticipated debut album, featuring 12 enchanting tracks.
