KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: In a scene resembling a crime thriller, a mysterious and disturbing incident has unfolded at Mubarak Hospital, prompting a security investigation.
According to preliminary information, an unidentified individual arrived at Mubarak Hospital carrying another unidentified person seated on a wheelchair. The individual handed the wheelchair-bound person over to a hospital orderly (ward attendant) and urgently instructed him to take the person to a doctor without delay.
However, hospital management later made a shocking discovery: the person seated in the wheelchair was already deceased.
Sources said the deceased person did not carry any identification documents and was described as Asian in appearance. Shortly after handing over the wheelchair to the hospital worker, the unidentified individual who brought the body immediately left the hospital premises.
Upon discovering that the person was dead, hospital authorities alerted the Kuwait Police. The body has since been detained for forensic examination to determine the cause of death.
Security authorities have launched an investigation to identify the individual who brought the body to the hospital and fled. Investigators are also reviewing surveillance camera footage from within and around the hospital to trace the suspect’s movements and reconstruct the sequence of events.
The circumstances surrounding the death, as well as the reasons behind leaving the body at the hospital in such a manner, remain unclear. Authorities have not ruled out any possibilities as investigations continue.
