MORBI, Aug. 7: An unusual hydrogeological phenomenon has been reported in Virparda village in Gujarat’s Morbi district, where water inside a farm well has been continuously moving from side to side.

The unusual movement began on August 2, 2026, in an approximately 18-foot (5.5-metre) deep well. According to local reports, the water has been oscillating on its own and has occasionally overflowed from the well.

The phenomenon has attracted attention among villagers and sparked interest over what could be causing the persistent movement of the groundwater.

The unusual activity is being described as a rare hydrogeological occurrence, with further observation and scientific assessment expected to help determine its exact cause.
