YANGON, Nov 19, (Xinhua): Myanmar received over 809,000 foreign tourists during the first 10 months of 2025, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism said on Wednesday.
This year's foreign tourist arrivals between January and October are lower compared to about 890,000 foreign tourists who visited the country during the same period in 2024, U Myo Win Nyunt, deputy permanent secretary of the ministry, told Xinhua.
The majority of tourists during this period came from China, Thailand and South Korea, the official said. In 2024, Myanmar welcomed over 1.06 million foreign tourists, according to the ministry.
