KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: Minister of Information and Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, emphasized the importance of the "My Job" exhibition in ushering in a new era of youth empowerment, creativity, and sustainable employment.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the fourth edition of the exhibition on Thursday, Al-Mutairi praised the event as a national platform that fosters collaboration between state institutions and the private sector to expand training and employment opportunities for young Kuwaitis. He said the exhibition marks steady progress towards a new phase of youth work, focusing on partnership, creativity, and sustainability.
"The broad participation from youth and national institutions in this exhibition confirms that we are moving towards a new phase of youth development," Al-Mutairi remarked. "It enshrines the principle of empowerment that begins with initiative and leadership, which is the fruit of investment in youth."
Al-Mutairi also highlighted the significance of Kuwait's youth population, which makes up more than 67 percent of the country's society, calling them a "valuable national energy and demographic gift." The Minister noted that the National Youth Strategy (2025-2030) focuses on five key development paths, with leadership, employment, and entrepreneurship taking priority. The exhibition, he said, reflects these priorities by providing practical opportunities for youth to build their careers and sharpen their entrepreneurial skills.
The Minister stressed that the exhibition serves as a crucial step in empowering Kuwaiti youth, preparing them for the future, and aligning with Kuwait's "Vision 2035," which emphasizes human resource development as the cornerstone of national progress. He expressed gratitude to all organizers and supporters of the exhibition, wishing them continued success.
In her remarks, Eng. Rabab Al-Osaimi, Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, reiterated the Authority's ongoing commitment to supporting Kuwaiti youth. She emphasized that the exhibition is the largest job fair in Kuwait, aligning with the nation's vision to increase Kuwaitization and enhance youth participation in building a diversified and sustainable economy.
Al-Osaimi noted that the "My Job" exhibition is more than just a job fair; it acts as a bridge between job seekers and employers, facilitating connections between young professionals and companies looking for talent. She said the event features over 80 entities from both the public and private sectors, all dedicated to human development and youth empowerment.
"The exhibition supports the first steps toward a brighter future, creating pathways to successful and fulfilling careers," Al-Osaimi said. "Kuwaiti youth are the real investment, and we will continue to support them through services, employment facilitation, and the creation of a positive work environment."
The fourth edition of the "My Job" exhibition reflects Kuwait's ongoing commitment to fostering youth development, ensuring that the nation's future workforce is prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow's economy.
