KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: The public sanitation and road works departments in Kuwait Municipality branches in the governorates carried out inspection tours from Aug 25 to Sept 4; during which 1,019 abandoned and scrap cars were impounded, as well as eight abandoned boats and five mobile groceries, reports Al-Rai daily. In addition; 2,989 warning stickers were placed on abandoned and scrap cars. Legal measures will be taken against the owners of these cars at the end of the grace period stated in the warning stickers. According to the Public Relations Department in the Municipality; the inspection tours will continue in all governorates to track down street vendors, impound abandoned cars and boats, and uncover violations such as the illegal use of State properties.
