KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: Kuwait Municipality has intensified its inspection campaigns targeting unauthorized use of spaces in front of commercial stores in Jahra Governorate, in a continued effort to enforce municipal regulations and maintain order in public areas.
During a field campaign conducted on Thursday evening, inspection teams recorded 10 violations related to the illegal exploitation of areas in front of shops without the required licenses, according to Barjas Al-Saeedi, Head of the Inspection Team in Jahra Governorate.
Al-Saeedi told KUNA that the goal of these campaigns is to regulate commercial activity and ensure that businesses comply with the municipality's standards. He emphasized that legal measures will be taken against violators who continue to disregard the regulations.
“These field tours are critical to maintaining discipline in commercial areas,” Al-Saeedi stated, adding that all six governorates are engaged in similar enforcement efforts through coordinated field campaigns aimed at upholding the law.
He noted that the current operation is part of a broader strategy, with additional field tours scheduled in all governorates based on a timetable prepared by the Public Relations Department in coordination with relevant departments. These efforts are set to continue over the coming days to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Al-Saeedi stressed that municipal inspection teams are fully committed to taking all necessary actions to enforce the law. “Our teams will not hesitate to apply the municipality’s regulations and ensure adherence to all applicable controls,” he affirmed.
The campaign reflects Kuwait Municipality’s ongoing commitment to enhancing urban order, preserving public space, and promoting a regulated commercial environment across the country.
