Municipal Council members attend the Monday session
KUWAIT CITY, June 29: The Municipal Council, during its Monday session chaired by Abdullah Al-Muhairi, approved the General Administration of Customs’ request to allocate two additional sites for the expansion of the Nuwaiseeb border crossing, covering a total area of 1,420,000 square meters. The expansion aims to enhance logistical services and improve the operational efficiency of the border crossing. The approval includes the allocation of two new sites - the first covering 99,828 square meters and the second spanning 1,320,172 square meters. The sites will be used for dry and wet storage, as well as shaded and open storage areas, in addition to providing supporting services. Following the expansion, the total area of the Nuwaiseeb border crossing will increase to 2,580,700 square meters, which will strengthen its infrastructure and enhance its capacity to accommodate commercial traffic and logistical services.
