MPW employees warned against divulging information to media

KUWAIT CITY, April 29: Ministry of Public Works Undersecretary Ismail Al-Failakawi issued a decision prohibiting all workers in the ministry and the Public Authority for Road and Transportation – except the official spokesperson – from making any statements or divulging information related to their jobs, activities of the ministry and the authority, their decisions, regulations and instructions or those dealing with them – whether entities or individuals – to any media platform, audio-visual or photocopying, social media or news websites, unless a written approval is obtained.

The decision excludes those related to the competencies of certain departments, such as the Information System or Public Relations departments, which are in charge of publishing on the website or social media accounts of the ministry and the authority, as required in protecting the interests of the abovementioned institutions.
