KUWAIT CITY, March 18: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has contacted the Council of Ministers regarding the amendment of Article 40 of the decree on the civil service system in order to increase the permitted accumulated leave balance of State employees for an additional two years, reports Al-Qabas daily. According to a reliable source from CSC, the amendment will allow the employees to keep their leave balance for the six previous years, in addition to the current year, so that the total leave is seven years. Article 40 stipulates maintaining the balance of four years leave, in addition to the current year for a total balance not exceeding five years.
