LOS ANGELES, Feb 29, (Agencies): A resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is in deep sorrow following the tragic loss of his mother, who lost her life just two weeks after a fatal accident while riding her scooter to work.

Stefania Rodriguez, a 47-year-old grocery store employee, met with the unfortunate incident on the morning of Feb 17. While commuting on her scooter, she collided with an oncoming car. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department reported that Rodriguez sustained injuries and was promptly transported to Broward Health Medical Center, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

Tyler McGowan, Rodriguez’s grieving son, expressed the profound impact of this loss, describing his mother as an angel who brought light into his life. He referred to her as his number one fan and conveyed the immense void left by her absence.

The driver involved in the 1:30 a.m. crash remained at the scene and received multiple traffic citations, according to the police. The investigation is still ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.

Recounting the events, McGowan shared the heartbreaking details of his mother’s battle for life. Despite undergoing surgery at Broward Health Medical Center for life-threatening injuries, Rodriguez ultimately succumbed to the severity of her condition.

The bereaved son expressed disbelief and the surreal nature of the tragedy, stating, “This doesn’t seem like reality to me. I feel as if I hit my head, and I’m daydreaming all of this.”

In an effort to support Rodriguez’s family, including her two other young sons, McGowan initiated a GoFundMe campaign to alleviate the financial burdens associated with this unexpected and devastating loss. The entire family is grappling with the profound disruption caused by this heartbreaking incident, and McGowan hopes the community’s support will provide some relief during this difficult time.
