Morocco-Kuwait relations reach new heights

He expressed his appreciation for the sincere brotherly feelings that Kuwait, its leadership, government and people hold for Morocco. He praised the principled and unwavering stance of Kuwait in support of the territorial integrity of Morocco, emphasizing that this position is highly valued in Rabat and it reflects the depth of relations between the two countries. He said the Kingdom continues to achieve diplomatic gains, coinciding with growing international support for the autonomy initiative as a serious and realistic solution to the Western Sahara issue, in accordance with the relevant Security Council resolutions. He confirmed that the Kingdom, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, made economic development the main pillar of its modernization process. He pointed out that the Kingdom is now an attractive economic, industrial and logistical hub for investment, thanks to its political and institutional stability, advanced infrastructure and supportive legal framework.

He also cited the development of the automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, green economy and digital economy sectors. He indicated that preparations for hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup, in partnership with Spain and Portugal, will provide extensive investment opportunities in the infrastructure, tourism, transportation, services and sports economy sectors. He stressed that economic relations between Kuwait and Morocco witnessed remarkable development in recent years, with the value of trade exchange reaching 943 million Moroccan dirhams in 2024.

He added that Moroccan exports to Kuwait increased by 7.1 percent in the first half of 2025. He went on to say that Kuwait is the third largest Arab investor in Morocco, with investments covering the real estate, renewable energy, telecommunications, financial services and tourism sectors. He stated that the direct flight route between Kuwait and Casablanca boosted travel and tourism, such that the number of Kuwaiti visitors to Morocco exceeded 38,000 in 2025.

He disclosed that 2025 witnessed a surge in economic cooperation through the organization of two business forums in coordination with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), and the participation of Moroccan economic institutions. He said his country is hoping that the upcoming session of the Moroccan- Kuwaiti Joint Higher Committee, which will be held in the Kingdom of Morocco in the coming months, will be a significant milestone in terms of updating the legal framework for bilateral relations, signing new agreements and memoranda of understanding, and launching practical cooperation programs in various fields. He reiterated his gratitude to the State of Kuwait, its leadership, government and people, for continuously supporting Morocco, wishing that Kuwait will keep on enjoying security, stability and prosperity.
