Before being permitted entry to the residency department, expatriates’ documents are examined.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8: A security source revealed that the residency affairs departments across the six governorates of Kuwait witnessed a significant influx of visitors, totaling approximately 1,000 individuals. These visitors sought appointments through the “Meta” platform, with many applying for visit permits for their relatives on the opening day of the visitation process.

During their visits, individuals were required to complete necessary documentation, including providing round-trip travel tickets. Additionally, papers such as marriage contracts or birth certificates, for those seeking visits from parents, had to be authenticated by their respective country’s authorities, the Kuwaiti embassy, and their country’s consulate, along with approval from the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry.

The source clarified that only those with accepted documents were permitted to attach travel tickets issued by Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways. Furthermore, visitors were required to sign a pledge committing to not extending their visit beyond the designated duration, adhering to health guidelines, and seeking medical care from private health centers if necessary.

For nationals from banned countries, a visit to the General Administration of Residence Affairs in the Dajeej area was necessary to determine their eligibility for family visits.

According to the source, the duration of family and business visits is limited to one month and is non-renewable, while tourist visits last for three months and can be arranged online.
