Monkey Walks Into Liquor Shop, Drinks Vodka and Sleeps on Cartons

RANCHI, Sept 28 : A monkey created an unusual scene at a liquor shop in Ranchi, Jharkhand, after entering the premises, breaking open a bottle of vodka, drinking a substantial amount and eventually passing out on a stack of liquor cartons.

The incident took place at a liquor shop near Ormanjhi Chowk while staff members were inside. According to local reports, employees initially tried to drive the monkey away and even offered it biscuits to distract it. The animal, however, ignored the food and picked up a bottle of vodka, broke it open and began drinking.

After consuming around half the bottle, the monkey became drowsy and lay down on a carton inside the shop before falling asleep. Customers and bystanders were reportedly astonished by the scene and recorded videos on their mobile phones. The footage showed the monkey sleeping inside the shop while staff continued their normal activities and customers arrived to purchase alcohol.

Shopkeepers and local residents said the monkey had reportedly been seen in the area in recent days licking leftover alcohol from discarded bottles. The unusual incident quickly attracted attention, with videos of the monkey sleeping inside the liquor shop circulating among those who witnessed it.
