Money-Throwing Videos Trigger Oman Police Action Against Expatriates

MUSCAT, Sept 25: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said it is following up on two videos circulating on social media showing expatriates allegedly throwing money at employees while they were performing their duties.

One video showed an expatriate throwing money at an employee while the worker was carrying out his duties.

A second video appeared to show another expatriate carrying out a similar act involving a female employee.

However, the ROP clarified that the second video was a staged scene intended to raise awareness. The police said this was confirmed through statements from the female employee and those accompanying her.

The ROP said legal procedures are being completed against all those involved, but did not provide further details about the nature of the action being taken.
