Money Seized from British Banks Awaits Return to Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: The British authorities have addressed their Kuwaiti counterparts in Kuwait, inquiring why there is no request for disbursement of money seized from some British banks for the benefit of Kuwait, reports Al-Jarida daily. The sources indicated that the British authorities confirmed some money in British banks belonging to Kuwaiti citizens have been seized or have been frozen and to be returned to the Kuwaiti authorities in return. This is done in line with the judicial prosecutions carried out by Kuwait against a number of those convicted in criminal cases and live outside the country.
