MoI to rehire retired, fit ex-police personnel

KUWAIT CITY, April 27: The Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Police Affairs announced the opening of registration for the 78th Reenlistment Course through its website, reports Al-Seyassah daily. This course is limited to individuals who previously served in the police force and whose service was terminated due to resignation, dismissal for health reasons, absence from work, or failure to comply with disciplinary penalties.

The ministry clarified that registration will begin on May 1 and continue until May 15. Applicants must be Kuwaiti citizens, no older than 40 years at the time of application, of good conduct, and have had their service terminated for a period of not less than six months and not more than three years. They must also be medically fit and pass a physical fitness test. Applicants must not have been dismissed for misconduct, nor convicted of criminal offenses or crimes involving moral turpitude or dishonesty, unless their civil rights have been restored. They must also not have been dismissed more than twice. In addition, applicants must commit to working in their previous specialization and completing the training course and personal interview
