KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs, Major General Hamed Menahi Al-Dawas, on Wednesday inspected security and traffic preparations for the start of the 2025/2026 school year during a visit to the Traffic Operations Department.
Al-Dawas was received by Major General Hamad Ahmed Al-Munaifi, Head of the Security Directorates Sector, and Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Al-Otaibi, Head of the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector, along with senior officials and security leaders.
During the visit, Al-Dawas was briefed on measures taken to ensure the readiness of security and traffic patrols to facilitate movement around schools and guarantee the safety of students, parents, and guardians. The preparations aim to ease traffic congestion and provide a secure environment during school entry and exit hours.
The official underlined the importance of ongoing coordination among the ministry’s various sectors and emphasized the need for an active field presence in both morning and evening periods. He affirmed that the ministry would spare no effort in maintaining a safe and suitable environment for students and teaching staff.
The Ministry of Interior urged parents and motorists to cooperate with security personnel and comply with traffic regulations, stressing that community partnership is vital in promoting security and traffic safety.
