MOI on hunt for ‘Drifter Granny’

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: General Traffic Department has launched investigations over a video clip that went viral on social media in which a youth accompanied by his grandmother is seen driving his vehicle recklessly and performing stunts in Taima area, says Al-Seyassah.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Interior’s Public Relations and Security Media Department revealed that the individual who appeared in a video clip in which he is seen loading into his vehicle several items that can put sea-goers in danger, was detained for investigations.

It explained that the traffic department summoned the suspect and issued citations for several violations including neglect, use of vehicle for different purposes, leaving the door of the vehicle open, and putting the lives of others in danger. The vehicle was seized and referred to the seized-vehicle garage. Necessary action was taken
