KUWAIT CITY, July 17: On the directives of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector—represented by the General Traffic Department and the General Department of Rescue Police—conducted a wide-ranging security and traffic campaign in the Mahboula area at dawn on Thursday, July 17, 2025. This operation is part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and maintain law and order.
The campaign led to the arrest of several individuals and the initiation of legal procedures against multiple violators. The primary objective was to curb negative behavior and reinforce public discipline.
Key Results of the Campaign:
- 437 various traffic violations issued
- 9 individuals arrested for violating residency and labor laws
- 6 persons wanted for arrest apprehended
- 4 individuals detained for lacking any form of identification
- 3 vehicles and motorcycles were seized that were wanted by judicial authorities
- 3 juveniles caught driving without a license
- 3 individuals found in possession of suspected narcotic and intoxicating substances
- 2 absconders arrested
- 2 persons arrested for being in an abnormal or intoxicated condition
The Ministry of Interior reiterates its commitment to continue such security operations across different regions and to take all necessary legal action against violators. The ministry urges all residents to comply with traffic laws and regulations to help preserve the safety and well-being of the community.
