MOI informs the Cabinet Ministers on the procedures taken to control riots created by residence violators

KUWAIT, May 4: Head of the Government Communication Center, the official spokesman for the Kuwaiti government, Tariq Al-Muzarram, said that Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh informed the cabinet of the measures taken by security men to control the riots. The riots was committed by a number of residence law violators in the shelters designated for them.

This came in a joint press conference held by Al-Muzammem today, Monday, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health Affairs and the Assistant Undersecretary for Supporting Medical Services Dr. Buthaina Al-Mudhaf and Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at Kuwait University Dr. Mohammed Al-Khamis after the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers that was made via video call (online) Headed by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister.

Al-Muzram said that Minister Al-Saleh also informed the Council of Ministers of the measures taken by the security men in the Ministry of Interior to control the situation to contain these “absurd acts” and maintain security, and the firm measures taken to prevent the recurrence of such unexceptable behaviors.

He stated that His Highness the Prime Minister expressed great thanks and appreciation to all employees of the Ministry of Interior for their sincere efforts since the beginning of the outbreak of Corona virus (Covid 19) to establish security and stability in all parts of the country, especially in such exceptional circumstances that require commitment from all citizens and residents. Their responsibilities are to maintain the country’s security and to cooperate with the security authorities.
