MOI foils smuggling attempt of 20 kgs Meth

KUWAIT, June 9: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced today, Tuesday, that the security forces concerned had thwarted an attempt to smuggle 20 kilograms of narcotic substance Methamphetamine (Shabu) by land and arrested the perpetrators.


The General Administration of Relations and Security Media in the (Ministry of Interior) stated in a press statement that, within the framework of the security institution’s strategy represented in the criminal security sector to deal with the drug scourge and arrest its promoters, the General Department of Narcotics Control, in cooperation with the General Administration of Land Border Security, managed to thwart the smuggling process.


The statement said that information was received by the “Narcotics Control” from a secret source indicating that a person from the category of illegal residents was planning a smuggling of narcotic drugs across the land. The said narcotic drugs were found.


He added that all parties to the incident were referred to the jurisdiction to take all necessary legal measures against them (KUNA)
