KUWAIT CITY, Nov 21: Some activists have been actively posting criticisms on social media regarding the phenomenon of fans pushing to enter the stadium stands, which led to damage to some seats. They were referring to the friendly match held on Friday between the Belgium and Egypt national teams at the Jaber Al- Ahmad International Stadium as part of preparations for the Qatar World Cup 2022.

The match had resulted in the victory of the Egyptian national team by two goals to one. The aforementioned phenomenon occurred despite assurances by security sources that the Ministry of Interior was successful in organizing the friendly match. Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi said, “The ministry will take legal measures against the company in charge of organizing the match between the two national teams.” In an exclusive press statement, Al-Mutairi said, “What the facilities of the Jaber Sports Stadium were exposed to due to the influx of fans of an Arab community that caused damage to some sports facilities is unacceptable.

“Necessary action is being taken against the organizers, who will be summoned to bear legal responsibilities.” Furthermore, informed sources said the minister will form an investigation committee to find out the procedures followed in granting the license to the organizers to host the match and the financing party. They highlighted a tendency to suspend the president of the Football Association until the completion of the investigation. In addition, a security source affirmed the success of the Ministry of Interior in organizing the arrival of the masses to Jaber Stadium. He explained that the stadium was filled with about 50,000 spectators. The exit process was facilitated, and the organization was distinguished. Police officers were able to organize the arrival of the fans to the stadium without any problems. By Salem Al-Wawan and Munaif Nayef Al-Seyassah Staff
