KUWAIT CITY, Mar 9: The Ministry of Interior has called on the public to enhance their digital security by taking precautionary measures to prevent hacking and online fraud.
In a recent advisory, the ministry emphasized the importance of regularly changing passwords for home cameras and surveillance systems, as well as creating strong, unique passwords to protect personal information and privacy.
Authorities also warned users against opening unknown or suspicious links received through text messages or social media, noting that such links may be used to steal personal data or hack devices.
The advisory further cautioned against falling for fraudulent online advertisements, explaining that some sponsored ads may be used to carry out scams. The ministry urged users to verify the authenticity of any ad before clicking on links or entering personal details.
Citizens and residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious online activity.
