KUWAIT CITY, Apr 15: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Wuhaib, chaired a coordination meeting with the Chairman and Board members of the Union of Car Agents/Dealers, in the presence of several senior security officials, to strengthen cooperation and enhance joint working mechanisms between the ministry and the private sector.
At the outset, Al-Wuhaib welcomed the participants and conveyed the greetings and appreciation of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. He underscored the leadership’s commitment to fostering constructive partnerships with the private sector to improve service delivery and achieve greater institutional integration.
Discussions focused on developing a direct electronic link between the Ministry of Interior and car dealerships to accelerate and simplify traffic-related procedures, particularly vehicle registration and ownership transfers. The initiative is part of the ministry’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at improving efficiency and providing more convenient services to the public.
The meeting also addressed several outstanding issues facing car dealers, with both sides working toward practical solutions. Many regulatory measures were agreed upon to support dealership operations while maintaining approved security standards and safeguarding public interest.
Al-Wuhaib reaffirmed the ministry’s determination to remove obstacles and provide necessary facilitation to enhance service quality. Meanwhile, the Union of Car Dealers commended the ministry’s ongoing cooperation and its commitment to open communication, noting that such collaboration helps improve the business environment and achieve shared objectives.
