KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: Mohammed Al-Rakhis, owner of Al-Salam Stud and a specialist in breeding Egyptian-blood Arabian horses, claimed top honors at the Subhan Arabian Horse Championship held at the Kuwait Equestrian Center from December 10 to 14.
Al-Rakhis took home both the Best Producing Farm and Best Pioneering Farm awards, earning the most gold, silver, and bronze medals across the championship’s competitive events, which attracted top participants vying for first-place titles.
Under the championship rules, awards for Pioneering, Producing, and Emerging farms are given to the owners of the five best-performing horses in terms of ownership. The winners receive cash prizes of 2,000 KD for first place, 1,500 KD for second place, 1,000 KD each for third and fourth place, and 750 KD for fifth place.
The championship featured competitions across colts, fillies, mares, and stallions, with horses evaluated on five key criteria: Arabian identity, head and neck, body, legs, and movement.
Al-Rakhis’ achievements at the Subhan Championship further solidify his reputation as a leading breeder of premium Arabian horses in the region.
